Mash’Allah woow almost 2 years and running now and this video is increasing in the amount of views its getting. I am not sure whether the brothers and sisters that worked Mash’Allah really hard for it would think that it would get so popular that you just type halal food on youtube & google and it will turn up as the first video!
I remember when they played the video on the “Healthy food day” which was the first event of RCSI ISoc’s IAW 2007 “The united colours of Islam”. Mash’Allah The coffee dock was packed out with Muslims & Non-Muslims! The Dawa’ah stall literature was Alhamdulliah depleted & the Food was finished too! [Apart from the salad & chips :p] May Allah SWT reward the brothers & sisters who worked tirelessly in organizing this event.

Yep thats right, Its officially bonkers! This morning at 5.42am I was suddenly woken up by fine mist of water from the end of the nozzle of a Febreeze container. My brother keeps his promises when it comes to matters that involve annoying people.
After Fajr and sunrise, we were walking back until I got the idea of hiking Dublin mountains. Note: We were in tracksuit bottoms, and slippers. And I had a jalabiyah so it made the walk even more challenging. Bakr didnt even have socks so apart from the slippers he was pretty much barefooted, LOOOOL.
When we arrived there we saw the magnificent view of Dublin and nearby forests from the car park (if you can call it one!). Now comes the funny bit, 2 Asian guys with slippers walking up Dublin mountains. Not only were those who passed by us in full hiking kit confused but we laughed our heads off at their amazement. They may have thought we were doing some saint pilgrimage or something ludicrous along the lines. Along the way random topics were discussed between us, memories of childhood and our future etc.
The higher we went the colder it got, The winds were getting stronger. Humiliated by defeat in Carrountuhill (which was not my fault), I couldn’t stand the thought of going back! At the point with all the antennas etc, It looked alright, However, When it got to the rocky bit it suddenly got very chilly, the fog and mist thickened and the clouds looked an unforgiving grey/dark complexion.
We hurried to the top of where there was the pile of rocks (the picture above was taken from the Dublin mountains website). It was icy cold, even with a inside fur jacket I could feel the punch, I wonder how my bruv was taking it with only a slim hoodie. Afterwards we legged it down from their back to the car because of the brewing storm.
Phew! Alhamdulliah what a short adventure! A saturday morning well spent in getting that fresh atmosphere that city life seems to throw away completely. The only regret is not having a camera to show how funny the whole fiasco was. Insh’Allah next time we will have a camera, wear jalabiyahs and slippers with no socks! Just for the extra challenge & thrill of adventure
.
The holidays are up now insh’Allah, Study, assignments and a load of society work has to be done in these precious 2 weeks. I hope insh’Allah things work out.
